Kamuli & Kaliro 2014
Introduction
Abundant Life International Ministries growing stronger into God’ purposes for her existence launched into the deep through a leaders conference in Kaliro 26th February to 1st March and a crusade in Kamuli from 4th to 7th March. The conference teachers were Pastor Ernest Howie and Pastor Mike Smith. These were later joined by a team of three (Darren, Roselyn and Ursina) for a crusade. The team of five from the UK was joined by a group of students from Uganda Christian University and other members affiliated to ALIM –Uganda, all in partnership with the pastors and leaders’ fellowship in these towns carried out the activities. During this time of ministry, the team got involved in prison, School, Hospital and street ministry. Pastor Ernest and Mike ministered to Pastors and Church leaders during the conferences and on the crusade. A total Number of 1158 people gave their lives to Jesus Christ in the course of the week. .

CONFERENCE 26TH FEBRUARY TO 1ST MARCH 2014
The Conference was organized in obedience to God’s call upon Pastor Ernest to ground the church of Christ in the biblical truth to enable them to counter attack the prevailing falsehood infiltrating the church. ALIM Conferences are a very powerful conduit through which the healing power of the Lord Jesus Christ flows through the believers in these meetings hence bringing deliverance among them from all kinds of bondage and oppression. A total of 400 people were in attendance during the 4 days conference.

“Jesus March” to demonstrate the Lordship of Jesus Christ in the Land
The crusade started with a “Jesus march” through the town under the guidance of a brass band and the Traffic Police. The purpose of the March through the town was to celebrate the goodness of the Lord to His people but also to proclaim and declare the Lordship of Jesus Christ in the land.
On the first day of the outreach, the team assigned themselves ministry tasks to the schools, hospital and the prison. During the crusade a tent was pitched and designated for prayer. In this tent, many sick people and those that had different prayer needs came and the team laid their hands on them and prayed with them to receive healing. Counseling sessions were also carried out by the team to various individuals and in the process, many were delivered from all forms of oppression and others received Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and savior.

PRAISE AND WORSHIP
Moments of Praise and worship on the crusade brought about the manifestation of God’ s presence and brought joy to the people. The interchurch mass choir was the major channel of praise during the crusade. Besides this, a number of choirs presented and the power of the Lord moved greatly among the crowds and many were set free from the bondage of sin by the conviction of the Holy Spirit.
STREET PREACHING
The team was also involved in street evangelism. The street preaching sessions were strategically organized in conjunction with the local pastors at locations were churches existed. The outreach team with a sound system mounted on the truck goes from trading centre to centre singing, testifying, preaching, counseling and praying for the sick. Those who receive Christ as Lord and saviour fill decision cards which are later given to local pastors for follow-up.
CONFERENCE
The conference for Pastors and leaders started on 4th to 7th and was conducted in the morning hours (9.00am-1.00pm). The themes handled highlighted the Fear of the Lord and integrity among church leaders as a foundation for revival. Pastor Ernest and Mike emphasized prayer, prophesy and awareness of the power of Christianity by believers as key to victorious Christian living. Many leaders were baptized in the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues for the first time. At the end of the conference, many testified that their prayer lives and fellowship with the Lord Has greatly improved.

During the interviews with the pastors and leaders who attended the conference, many confessed that the message they heard during the sessions was unique and God sent. The pastors resolved that the teachers should come to Kaliro on an annual basis to continue with the work of grounding the church in the word.
During the message on Marriage as God intended, four couples responded to the alter call to sanctify their marriage in the sight of God. This brought joy to the church and glory to God as the four marched forward to make vows and receive their certificate from Abundant Life International Ministries. This being a spiritual event, the government officials present at the conference promised to assist the four couples to acquire the legal status documents from the registrar of marriages.

HUMANITARIAN
On the 5th of March, the team went to the prison for Ministry. In the prison, the team was welcomed by the Officer in Charge (OC) who introduced the team to the inmates. The prison had a population of 80 inmates. The message was preached and 15 of the inmates present gave their lives to Jesus. The team identified with the physical needs of the inmates by providing 2 bales of blankets, soap, Sugar and other essentials as a demonstration of the Love of God for them inspite of the fact that they are in difficult living conditions mired with scarcity, ill health and torture, both Psychological and occasionally physical. The OC was grateful for the gesture of love that was demonstrated by the team and thanked the local pastors for including the prison in their plans.

NEW BELIEVERS
On the last day of the crusade, Pastor Ernest and the team had fellowship with all those who accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives during the week of ministry. In the meeting, Pastor Ernest encouraged the new born again Christians to be strong in the Lord and not to turn back. He assured them using the word of God that they have now got new fatherhood in the spirit. He assured them that they are now children of God; they are cleansed by the blood of Jesus, accepted and their sin nature taken way by the stripes of Jesus. He prayed with them and many received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. In the same meeting, a gift of a t-shirt with a gospel verse on the back and a logo of ALIM in front were presented to each of the new believers. The Pastors Fellowship in Bugiri town made arrangements for the Baptism of the new believers on the following day the 8th of September and 88 of them who turned up confirmed their faith through this sacrament.

TESTIMONIES
Madinah received her healing from heart complications and fibroids during the hospital ministry. The doctor’s report shows that she was miraculously well and no longer needed an operation. She came to the platform on the crusade ground and gave her testimony.
These two ladies being embraced by Rosslyn after testifying of the Lord’s healing touch on their lives. One had a chest pain and backache and another one had an accident and was living in great pain. By the time they testified, they had tested their miracle for two days and they were confident that all pain was gone.

The organizing committees in both Kaliro and Kamuli are recommendable for the success of these eventful moments.
